About
Linda Sanchez Ortega joined Aparicio Immigration Law in 2024 as an associate attorney. Linda's practice focuses on removal defense and family-based immigration, including family-based petitions, adjustment of status, DACA, waivers, and citizenship. Her practice also includes humanitarian-based cases, such as asylum, U-Visas, and VAWA applications. Prior to joining our team, she was an associate attorney at a well-established immigration firm, where she also worked for several years as their EOIR manager, primarily working on removal defense cases before the Chicago Immigration Court.
Linda received a bachelor’s degree in justice studies and political science from Northeastern Illinois University. During law school, Linda participated in her school’s immigration legal clinic and received three CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Legal Writing 3, Trial Advocacy 1, and ADR in the Workplace. During her studies, Linda also volunteered at the Children’s Legal Center and Centro Romero, non-profit organizations focused on providing free immigration legal services. Linda is an immigrant and a first-generation attorney. In her free time, Linda enjoys painting and running.
