Victor Aparicio understands the immigration journey firsthand. An immigrant himself and now a proud U.S. citizen, he brings to his practice both legal experience and a personal understanding of the challenges his clients face. That perspective shapes his approach to representation—with empathy, urgency, and an appreciation for what is at stake: a family’s unity, a person’s safety, and the opportunity to build a future.

Victor founded Aparicio Immigration Law in 2013 with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, client-centered representation to individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system. Since then, he has guided thousands of clients through some of the most consequential decisions and challenges of their lives.

Practice Focus

Victor concentrates his practice on complex immigration matters, with a particular emphasis on removal defense and family-based immigration. He represents individuals facing deportation, families seeking to reunite, and people pursuing a permanent life in the United States.

His approach combines meticulous case preparation, strategic advocacy, and clear communication. Whether advocating in immigration court or guiding a family through the application process, Victor develops a strategy tailored to each client’s circumstances, priorities, and available legal options. His goal is to protect his clients’ rights and pursue the strongest possible outcome while ensuring they understand the process along the way.

Victor believes effective representation begins with listening. He takes the time to understand each client’s story, explain their options in straightforward terms, and address the concerns that extend beyond the legal questions in a case.

Many of his clients come through referrals from people and families he has previously represented, reflecting the relationships he has built over more than a decade of practice.

Leadership and Community Involvement

Victor’s commitment to service extends beyond his caseload. He serves as Membership Secretary of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI) and Chair of its Immigration Law Committee, reflecting his commitment to the Hispanic legal community and the individuals and families who depend on effective immigration advocacy.

He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of Mexican Art, bringing his longstanding appreciation for the arts to an institution dedicated to Mexican art and culture.

These roles reflect the interests at the center of Victor’s professional and personal life: law, community, and the arts. For him, immigration law is more than a practice area—it is personal, and that sense of purpose informs both his advocacy and his service.
