Elvis Villarroel
About
Elvis S. Villarroel joined Aparacio Immigration Law as an Associate Attorney in 2026.
His practice has focused primarily on U.S. immigration law but also criminal defense. He has experience representing clients in all aspects of removal proceedings before various immigration courts. In family-based petitions before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. And for expungements and defending against misdemeanors in Illinois criminal courts. Prior to joining Aparacio Law, he worked at a local non-profit and most recently at another law firm in the Chicagoland area.
Mr. Villarroel received his legal education from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. During law school he served as President of his school’s Immigrants’ Rights Coalition and participated in a yearly trip to the U.S. southwestern border to assist detained immigrants in pro se asylum proceedings. He also held various internships, including with Transunion, The Resurrection Project, The National Immigrant Justice Center, and several local immigration firms.
Elvis is a native of Santa Cruz, Bolivia and immigrated to the United States as a child. His passion for representing immigrants stems from his own background and experiences as an immigrant. He’s a public advocate for the need for comprehensive immigration reform and has appeared on various media outlets for the same. In his spare time, he enjoys all types of outdoor activities, gardening, and trying out different cuisines. He calls Pilsen home.
